SmartZone describes both a family of Trunking System equipment, and a Coverage Type. SmartZone connects multiple single sites (SmartNet) together into a single Radio Frequency Sub-System (RFSS), or "Zone", providing multi-site wide-area communications over large geographic areas such as a region, county, state, or small geographic areas with as few as two sites.
